nine is rhyme

seattle was a lot of fun. the show was great! thanks to all the people dancing and having fun in the front. it sucked that we had to miss the vancouver show, but it was a nice surprise to get a day off in seattle. more time to spend with brynne!

after the show we all went back to brynne's place and played some drinking game that walter made up. we also had a dance party, and got to take a trip down memory lane looking at all the polaroids on brynne's wall. so much has changed!

the next day everyone woke up a little hungover, but ready for exploring. we went to fremont, the pike place market, and capitol hill. i found some rad boots and an amazing vintage beatles shirt. max is getting a good start on a new wardrobe. john had no luck. then we all ate some super good thai food at the market. brynne and i met up for bbf time that night, and then went back to the hotel to hang with everyone else. the boys dressed up in suits for us! i wish i would have taken a picture. then we drank some beer and watched true life until early in the morning. it's always hard to say goodbye. bummer.

hit and run

lots and lots of driving the past few days. we stopped by crazy horse, which was awesome. we ran into some crazy meth heads in billings. we tried to buy beer and go to a casino, but time was not on our side. i think i've seen enough dead animals to last me a lifetime. also we are not going to play the vancouver show on this tour, because max doesn't have his passport anymore after the suitcase incident. sorry to anyone planning on going, next time.

under pressure

this tour is cursed! the boys don't buy it, but it's true. i think someone put a voodoo spell on that rock in columbus. ever since we've had bad luck. attempted burglary, no window, van break downs, our merch still hasn't shown up, max's suitcase was stolen last night, our window mysteriously imploded on itself this morning, and the rock n roll hall of lame closed early so we couldn't go! it's been rough, but luckily we all have a good sense of humor and no one's a complainer. that's the worst. it is freezing in the van with no window!

detroit was a blast! we stayed at malissa's place there. the whole house is amazing, and kinda reminds me of my old place in nashville. john and i stayed in the keith moon room. it's badass. filled with pictures of the who and the union jack. malissa is on tour with us, helping us drive and selling merch. she's rad, so be sure to say hi to her at the shows and buy merch from her if we ever get any!!!!!

anyway, we went and ate a very late breakfast at slow's with her friend rob. it was great soul food, and pretty good bbq for the midwest. then we met up with all the boys and bowled at the venue. the show was fun, and yes, i did beat up a dude. he was being a dick and heckling us the whole time. it was pissing off john and max especially. i poured a bottle of water on him, but he wouldn't quit. i told all the boys to just ignore him, and we were having a lot of fun on stage. unfortunately, dude fucked up during the last song by flicking lit cigarettes at me. not cool. i kicked his ass, there was blood, and everyone at the show cheered because he sucked. even his roommate was putting him down after the show. dude was asking for it the whole show, and he seemed pretty pleased when it was over. i guess he got what he wanted?

chicago was last night and our first day on tour with islands. we got to hang with some old friends, and my parents happened to be in town. max's suitcase was stolen though, which is a huge bummer. he had a pretty great 70's bob dylan shirt in there that is now gone. it is no longer halloween everyday with max's wardrobe! he does have the greatest hits of wall street business man in the 80s, used car salesman, and texas oilman/cowboy. we are accepting donations at the shows! you can drop off clothes with malissa at the merch table! a moment of silence please for max's stolen wardrobe.

no turning back dudez

alright. we are driving to cleveland right now. there are internets in the van! we are living in the future! ahhhhhhhhh!!!! we just drove past some huge homemade billboards with the ten commandments in a corn field. that's dedication.

anyway, tour has been rad so far. except that someone tried to break into our van in columbus by throwing a rock through our window, and it was broken for about three days. very long and loud interstate drives. it is fixed now, so nobody better get any ideas. last night we played newport ky. byop played at the same venue several times, and it was nice to see our hot pink spray painted byop dicks still covered the dressing room wall. the show was fun, and then we went back to the hotel and watched trashy tv.

before that was our home sweet home nashville tn! the show was what i expected it to be, but it was really great for so many of our friends to see us and of course our families. we got into town late, because of all the hijinks in columbus, but right after we got there nathan came to the venue. he just turned 21 so we went and got some margaritas. happy birthday nathan! then my family came out, and it was so great to hang with everyone all at once. it was overwhelming, but super awesome. luckily we had a day off on sunday, so my parents had a bbq and we got to hang with everyone for one more day. my parents even got bolton's hot chicken for it! max, my sister, and i went and did some thrifting too. i got some amazing gold ankle boots and max found a trench coat. today he is dressed like we works on wall street in the 80s. it's intense! also erik has started his own little tour blog. it's just pictures, and he updates way more often than me. thanks for showing me up dude. it's big time.

vile jive

first day of tour! yay! we battled horrendous winds all day long in the van. blowing all over the fucking highway, it was terrifying. i had to eat popeyes for lunch. yuck! i love fried chicken but that shit sucks. the honey mustard was horrifying! the boys watched hot rod and i took a nap. i'm not used to waking up at 7:00 am. Pittsburgh was great! we had a really fun first show! thanks to everyone who came out! the audience was so great, we really couldn't have asked for a better tour kick off show. right now we are watching mtv's true life i'm transgender. it's rough. it's been a long day i want to pass out. we wanted to go to the andy warhol museum tomorrow, but we don't have enough time! bummmerrrrrrrr. we gotta drive to lexington ky bright and early. hopefully i will wake up early enough to get a run in the gym before we leave. oh and the boys and i have some good ideas for the flip camera. i will post about it soon.

big screen debut

yesterday john, max, and i went to go see the movie whip it. turbo fruits is in it, well the old line up with john and max. the movie was cute and sometimes extremely painful to watch. i died when i first saw john, max, and jonas on the screen. i started laughing so hard i had tears coming out of my eyes. then every time any of them where on the screen i would lose it. i'm sure everyone around us was so annoyed. we stayed till the credits to see they're names on the screen. then i tried to embarrass them both by attempting to get people to recognize them. i had a blast!

last weekend before tour! check out the dates on the myspace page to see if we're coming to your town!

oh and i did see the preview for the new nightmare on elm st. i was surprised that robert englund isn't going to be freddy, but i also thought it looked pretty creepy. i'm definitely going to go see it. i mean you can only move forward after freddys dead. that's pretty much the lowest of the low.
